I’ve written earlier about the common lament I hear from students managing emotional concerns that they feel they must hide: “If only I could break out in purple spots and then people would think it (anxiety, depression, eating disorder, thoughts of suicide) is a real thing!”  This PSA takes that and gives some great examples of the shaming and absurdity that results from mental health stigma.  I will note that at Wake Forest I think we are beginning to move the needle with regard to how our students and community think about the “acceptability” of seeking mental health care.  Click below to view!
