Counseling Style
As a counselor, I strive to foster therapeutic relationships that will promote confidence, positive self-esteem, and ultimately assist clients in reaching their identified goals. I believe that we are the experts of our own lives, and our life experiences significantly impact our views of the world and how we interact with those around us. Exploring those details in counseling can lead to a deeper understanding of one’s development over time and serve as a catalyst for change. Theoretical orientations that I mostly utilize are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and a Person-Centered approach.

Personal
I was born and raised in North Carolina. I’m a wife and a mother. I’m recharged by spending quality time with my family and close friends. As a child, I frequently traveled with my grandparents, so as an adult I still find joy in sightseeing and exploring new places. I love crafting and completing DIY projects. I also have a passion for music and singing.
