Bio
Clinical Interests
Psychological assessment is a core aspect of my clinical practice as part of helping clients develop better self-understanding and tools for self-advocacy, particularly in educational settings. In addition to assessment, my clinical interests include evidence-based strategies for navigating anxiety, depression and attention difficulties that are common challenges for students adjusting to a university environment.
Counseling Style
My therapeutic style is based on a solutions-focused framework, and draws from CBT, mindfulness and interpersonal theories. I believe in starting with a person-centered approach and developing together a shared set of therapeutic goals based on a foundation of trust as a core aspect of a therapeutic relationship.
Personal
When not at Wake, I’m most often spending time with my family, my golden retriever (Cedric) and cats (Sunny and Mossy) and recharging through reading fiction or perfecting baked good recipes.
