Bio

Clinical Interests
I’m passionate about working alongside individuals to tap into the potential they possess and support them along their mental health journey. I enjoy working with college-age adults in their navigation through increased levels of independence, work-school-life balance, and separation from their support system as they begin to settle down roots in a home away from home. I have a strong interest in working with student-athletes and the unique stressors that come with balancing academics and athletics throughout the transition into college life, including body image concerns, pressure for high-performance, stress related to injury, and more. I’m a firm believer that everyone has the capacity for growth and change given proper support and guidance.

Counseling Style
In clinical practice, I use a compassionate and collaborative approach to helping clients navigate challenges. I integrate person-centered techniques with evidence-based therapies and interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I seek to use a warm, nonjudgmental, and honest style to work with clients on building insight, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, and increasing mental health literacy. I strive to tailor each intervention to match the needs and goals of the individual, whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or any relevant stressor identified by the client.

Personal
Outside of work, you will catch me playing sports (basketball, volleyball, and pickleball), traveling, or watching anything that makes me laugh. I have a strong support system consisting of my family and friends and maintain strong relationships with them for self-care. I’m from Wisconsin, so I love to eat cheese, steak (medium rare is the only way to eat steak) and cheer on the Packers. GO PACK GO!
